What is CeFA®?
Retirement Planning - Investments
The Certificate in Financial Advice is awarded by the institute of Financial Services (IFS). It meets the requirements identified by the Financial Skilled Council (FSSC).
Under FSA rules it is compulsory to have a full CeFA® qualification if you wish to give advice on retirement planning and investments. The CeFA® qualification is made up of 4 modules, all of which must be completed to achieve the qualification.
CeFA®/CeMAP® module 1: UK Financial Regualtion
CeFA® module 2: Investment and Risks
CeFA® module 3: Retirement Planning and Protection
CeFA® module 4: Assessment of Investment Advice Knowledge
Examinations
Modules 1, 2 and 3 are assessed in a two hour exam consisting of 100 multiple choice questions. Module 4 is assessed in a two hour exam, but is made up of 60 questions based on 6 case studies.
Each exam has a minimum pass mark of 70% per unit. A mark of 80% or higher receives a merit and a mark of 90% or over receives a distinction. Should you fail a specific unit, you only have to re-sit the specific unit rather than the whole module.
Please Note: We recommend that candidates take their respective examinations within 7 days of your training, as using the unique formula has allowed us to achieve a 90% success rate in candidates examinations results.
