What is CeFA®?

The Certificate in Financial Advice is the well established Level 3 qualification for financial advisers. It meets the requirements identified by the Financial Skilled Council (FSSC) and is incorporated at Level 3 into the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Achieving the Certificate for Financial Advisers (CeFA®) will enable you to gain a thorough understanding of the principles of good advice and the financial services industry. Employers from across the sector have been involved in its development.

The CeFA® qualification is made up of 4 modules, all of which must be completed to achieve the qualification.

CeFA® module 2: Investment and Risks
CeFA® module 3: Retirement Planning and Protection
CeFA® module 4: Assessment of Investment Advice Knowledge

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for the Level 3 Certificate in Financial Advice (CeFA®).

How do I study?

Training Wizard provide a classroom based course on each of the 4 modules at various venues throughout the UK.

Examinations

Modules 1, 2 and 3 are assessed in a two hour exam consisting of 100 multiple choice questions. Module 4 is assessed in a two hour exam, but is made up of 60 questions based on 6 case studies.

Each exam has a minimum pass mark of 70% per unit. A mark of 80% or higher receives a merit and a mark of 90% or over receives a distinction. Should you fail a specific unit, you only have to re-sit the specific unit rather than the whole module.

Please Note: We recommend that candidates take their respective examinations within 7 days of your training, as using the unique formula has allowed us to achieve a 90% success rate in candidates examinations results.

After you pass?

Upon successful completion of this qualification you can use the letters CeFA after your name.
